The rural community of Clavellinas has formed a strong and enthusiastic group of ten women, who started a small sewing cooperative. The women decided that it would be more effective to create a group in their own village, to bring women and girls together to produce clothing. Personnel of Apoyo met frequently with the group to together develop the new project . The Clavellinas Women were prepared by "Apoyo" for the market economy and, with support from The San Miguel Community Church, the project evolved and conditions have been created enableing the women to make a
sustaianble income.
